  • About the Mission

    Mission Poitou-Charentes is an independent Christian mission, based in Chef-Boutonne, Poitou-Charentes, France. The mission was establish in 2021 as an outreach to expatriates.

    A Mission to Expatriates
    France has an altogether different culture to Britain, and is a secular nation. Expatriates moving to France are often surprised by the lack of spiritual life and Christian churches. Mission work amongst expatriates is practically nonexistent. Mission Poitou-Charentes is committed to sharing the gospel with     expatriates, offering a place to congregate, together with Christian fellowship and teaching.

    Thousands of British expatriates live in France, many of these in Poitou-Charentes. Chef-Boutonne is in the heart of the region, and many expatriates live here. Whilst the Mission is primarily an outreach to expatriates, we also reach out to French nationals and our neighbours.

    We currently meet on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, at the Old Presbytery, Rue de l'Huilerie, Chef-Boutonne. The meetings are open to all desiring to come.
    Our Sunday meeting is an open prayer, praise & worship meeting, and includes preaching/teaching from the Scriptures.
